The countdown to the interzum has started: The interzum, the world’s premier trade fair for the furniture manufacturing and interior design industry, will be taking to the digital stage from May 4th to May 7th. Product stage: Trend scout meets Hawa Sliding Solutions

Raphael Gielgen, the trend scout for furniture manufacturer Vitra, and head of innovation Markus Föllmi meet in the development laboratory of Hawa Sliding Solutions in an interview which lasts for about 20 minutes. In accordance with the motto “Creating the living rooms of tomorrow together”, the pair reveal the mega-trends that will rejig the way we live and work – and why sliding door solutions are becoming increasingly important.

Then concrete sliding door solutions which help to re-think rooms move into the spotlight. These events will be taking place once per day.

Live round table: Convertible interior rooms

How can we get away from the preconception that rooms only serve one purpose? And what does it take to make the multi-functionality of rooms simpler than ever – and adapt them to changing needs?

Today’s needs will be discussed live at the round table with guests, together with Vitra trend scout Raphael Gielgen and industrial designer Kyeni Mbiti from ITO Design. Re-thinking rooms – concrete solutions for room design are also going to be discussed.

Up to 50 people will have free access as live guests – and can influence the discussion. The talk will be taking place once in German and once in English.
